CVAN East Midlands First Digital Dialogue - Ruth Singer

Heralded by COVID-19 Digital Dialogues is a new series of online conversations convened by East Midlands Contemporary Visual Art Network with artists and connected creatives. I was lucky enough to join Ruth Singer as she gave the inaugural offering on her career in art.

I enjoyed connecting with Ruth as she talked about her experiences, exhibitions and collaborations, but I hugely benefited from the camaraderie, companionship and enthusiasm for the arts that such an initiative provides. Stitching quietly at home can be a lonely experience but Elizabeth Hawley-Lingham really did create a feeling of 'we're all in this together' and there will be an artistic future. There is a real power in the collective.
