Embracing Art Health & Safety Through IOSH As A Community Artist

IOSH & Its Application For Community Artists & In Community Arts Projects

I'm absolutely over the moon to share the fantastic news that I've passed my IOSH Managing Safely qualification! This is a major achievement for me as a contemporary textile community artist, and I'm really looking forward to exploring how it can enhance my work as a collaborative community artist.

Getting my IOSH Managing Safely qualification means that I now have the knowledge and skills to make sure everything is safe within any organisation, including the weird, wonderful and ever-changing environments that are the office of the community artist.

From understanding legal responsibilities to identifying hazards and controlling risks, I feel much more confident in creating a safe environment for my collaborative community art projects.

As a community artist, I strongly believe that safety is vital for everyone involved in our creative endeavours. With this qualification, I can lead art projects while making sure the well-being of all participants is a top priority. I'm excited to use what I've learned to communicate the importance of safety practices to the communities I work with, ensuring that everyone can enjoy creating art in a safe and secure environment.

This qualification not only makes me a better artist but also shows my dedication to fostering a culture of safety and care in all of my collaborative community art projects. I can't wait to put my new knowledge and skills into action, creating meaningful and secure artistic experiences for everyone involved!
